PARTICULARITIES
Figure 1.4 shows the most simple shape for a plane punched brush. Often one must manufacture more complex brushes, for example not having rectangular shape or uniform disposition of the tufts. In other cases the backing has some mechanical function into the automatism where the brush has to be installed, so that toolings, like milling or threaded holes for mounting, can be made on it. In all these cases it is evident that the data on Table 1.4 are insufficient to execute the brush: a WORKING DRAWING is necessary. Generally the drawing is supplied by the customer because of his knowledge of all the required dimensions. Our Technical Department can guide you in planning the most suitable brush to solve your problems. Concerning the tooling tolerances, for metallic backings one can observe those normally used in mechanics. For synthetic backings one must instead foresee more wilde tolerances. Special elements, suitable for the brush installation, can be mounted on request: heli-coils, screw studs, etc. Finally, by using particular trimming methods, we can execute brushing surfaces which are not plane or brushing surfaces on different planes, in order to obtain a perfect fitness between brush and treated element. .
