TWISTED BRUSHES

Technical characteristics

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The TWISTED BRUSHES consist of two twisted fastening wires that hold the bristle. In this way we obtain a spiral brush (see Figure 4.1 - SIMPLE SPIRAL twisted brush).
If the twisted brush is to be mounted onto a mechanical device, generally the metallic core is cutted on both the sides. If instead the brush is to be used manually, one side of the core has no bristles so one can use it as a handle. Generally this handle ends with a ring (Figure 4.2).
The other end of the twisted brush can be turned, obtaining a little 'fan' (see Figure 4.2). The fan avoide the cutted wire damaging the parts to be treated. When a particular strengh is request, the twisted brush is made with four fastening wires and two perpendicular layers of bristle. In this way we produce a DOUBLE SPIRAL twisted brush, which can mount a screw coupling M12. The main characteristic of the twisted brushes is the little diameter of the core, so they are particulary suitable for the internal cleaning of tubes, channels and spaces whose accress is difficult to join.

BRUSH DIMENSIONS

The twisted brushes can have extremely variable sizes, from few millimeters of diameter up to about 2 m in length. It is advisable the maximum diameter does not exceed 500 mm (thick bristle).
The diameter of the metallic core is fixed by our Technical Department according to the maximum diameter of the brush and the thickness of the bristle.
